Part of the Hourouf Collection, a collaboration between Jihan C and Atelier de Ray, this long jacket transforms letters into wearable art.
Crafted from white moiré fabric, the jacket features Arabic and Phoenician-inspired letters embroidered using a combination of hand and machine techniques. Phoenician silhouette motifs adorn the sleeves, while the back features the Wheel of Letters, inspired by Jihan C’s TEDx talk, We All Speak the Same Beginning.
The artwork celebrates the journey of letters across civilizations and the connection between ancient heritage and contemporary identity.
Each jacket is individually handcrafted in Lebanon with love, giving every piece its own character.
