The Story Behind the “ Villas Des Pins Hotel “ Broumana - Lebanon: Kasr Al Sanawbar, or Villa des Pins, was built in Broumana starting in 1895 by Joseph and Barbara Abi Samra.
Positioned opposite the main gate of Broumana High School, established in 1873, the villa became a prominent feature in the community.
In 1936, Salim Abi Samra and his wife Angel converted it into a hotel, hosting many of the region's ruling families while preserving part of the residence for familial use.
For decades, the Villa des Pins Hotel remained a well-known hotel until the early 1980s, distinguished by its Lebanese character and triple-arched facade.
In Lebanon, the triple-arched house emerged in the latter half of the 19th century, captivating the bourgeois class with its innovative urban architecture inspired by Ottoman elements. Focused around a spacious central hall, it featured the iconic triple arched window, offering scenic views from a narrow balcony onto gardens, streets, or landscapes. - Specifications:
